The suspect, Jason Rodriguez has been apprehended! He was arrested at his mother's house without incident.
Current reports state that 1 person has died and 7 were injured.

Orlando gunman identified and on the loose. His name is
Jason Rodriguez. His vehicle is a 2002 silver Nissan SUV with the license plate D119UX. Authorities are still searching the Gateway Center, they are not sure if he is in the building or driving. A second SWAT team has arrived on the scene.
Employees at the center remain barricaded inside the Gateway Center building. Jason Rodriguez is a former employee of Reynolds, Smith, and Hills, a company located within the Gateway Center. Reports confirm that Jason Rodriguez was fired due to performance issues. He was let go in June 2007. The company states that they had no indication that Jason Rodriguez was unbalanced or capable of a mass shooting.
If you see this vehicle call 911! The suspect is to be considered armed and dangerous. Forensic psychiatrists state that perpetrators of mass shootings expect to die at the scene. Do not approach this suspect, contact authorities immediately.
Victims within the complex are advised to stay down and stay clear from doorways and windows. If it is possible to send text messages, it is advisable to do so. Authorities state that victims should not open any doors unless they are assured that it is a police officer or SWAT team member.

According to dispatch, reports came in at approximately 11:00 a.m. that shots were fired in the Gateway Orlando Center. Victims were found on multiple floors inside the Center. Phone calls were made by people trapped in the building, panicked they said that they had barricaded themselves inside while they could hear shots fired. The suspect is not in custody and is believed to be wearing jeans, a blue polo shirt and a gray vest.
Sources state that at 1:17 p.m. ET, it has been confirmed that 2 people have died and that the shooter is still in the Gateway Center. SWAT has arrived on the scene and they are in the process of evacuating the building. Update at 2:03 p.m. One person has died and seven are injured. Repeat 1 person has died.
The Gateway Center complex shares a parking lot with a Sheraton Hotel. Authorities have closed I4, a major highway that extends from Tampa to Orlando. Schools in the area are on lock down.
