The Washington Regional Alcohol Program is offering the public free cab service this holiday weekend in hopes of dissuading people from drinking and driving as they celebrate Independence Day.

The service is being offered between 4 p.m July 4th to 4 a.m July 5th in the District of Columbia; Prince George's and Montgomery counties in Maryland; and Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William and eastern Loudoun counties in Virginia. The number people can call to catch a cab is 1-800-200-TAXI.
