Actor Alec Baldwin recently told Playboy Magazine that he is tire of Sen. Joe Lieberman’s moderate politics and may move to Connecticut to run against the senator in the next Senate race.
Baldwin told Playboy, “I’d love to run against Joe Lieberman. I have no use for him.”
On his online blog, Baldwin backed down a bit and wrote he will not be moving to Connecticut, as much as he believes Lieberman is a letdown to the Democratic Party.
Lieberman is up for reelection in 2012 and said he would welcome Baldwin’s challenge. “You know, I mean, I must say that I respect Alec Baldwin as an actor as a comedian, and if he wants to run, that’s his right,” Lieberman said on CNN. “Make my day.”
