Los Angeles Police Chief William Bratton, said murder has not been ruled out in the investigation into the death of superstar, Michael Jackson, and that authorities are still awaiting toxicology results.

“And based on those, we will have an idea of what it is we are dealing [with]. Are we dealing with a homicide or are we dealing with an accidental overdoes?” said Bratton.

This investigation is also looking into Jackson’s use, or abuse, of prescription drugs and the Los Angeles County coroner’s office has subpoenaed a number of Jackson’s doctors to obtain his medical records.

On Friday, CNN reports that Jackson took over 10 Xanax pills a night and asked his employees to get the prescription drug under their names. CNN garnered the information from a confidential 2004 document they obtained on Thursday.

According to the document, Jackson would travel out of state to a number of different doctors to obtain multiple prescriptions. A security guard interviewed by authorities said he told a Jackson staffer he was concerned about the singer’s use of Xanax, a drug used to treat anxiety. The staff member replied, “Jackson was doing better because he was down from 30 to 40 Xanax pills a night,” according to the document.

The document also contains information that one security guard quit his job after Jackson injured himself in a hotel room by falling “…on his face.”

By 2006, CNN reports that Jack Wishna, a "deal maker," helped Jackson obtain a long-term Las Vegas show, but the singer would show up to rehearsals “incoherent” and “drugged up.” Wishna claims the show was cancelled due to Jackson’s condition at the time.

A source also told CNN that Jackson traveled with an anesthesiologist who would “take him down” at night and “bring him back up” while on a world tour in the mid-1990s.

Both Jackson’s dermatologist, Dr. Arnold Klein, and the cardiologist who was with him the day he died, Dr. Conrad Murray, are being questioned by authorities.

On Wednesday, Klein told CNN that Jackson had been addicted to drugs, but had beaten his addiction.

Murray said he will not discuss the case until test results are obtained by the coroner.
