Ed McMahon, 86, well known for being Johnny Carson’s sidekick on the “Tonight Show” for 30 years, died early Tuesday.

No cause of death has been announced, but his publicist, Howard Bragman, said McMahon had a “multitude of health problems the last few months.”

Recently, McMahon suffered a series of financial problems after breaking his neck in a fall in Mar. 2007, which prevented him from working.

McMahon is survived by his wife, Pam, and his children Claudia, Katherine, Linda, Jeffrey, and Lex.
