Individuality plays a large part in how one dances and who and what one chooses to dance with. But, in order to choose how and with whom or what one dances, there must be another to dance with. Without the other, a person would only be able to dance alone. So, even in a person’s individual choice of how they want to be and act (how they wish to dance) they have the opportunity to appreciate that without the other they would be dancing alone. This realization places the individual in a position where one can be blessed with the sight of how the individual’s Independence rests solely in the Interdependence of it All. Once this concept is understood the individual’s role in the Dance will become clearer.

When looking at independence from the standpoint of the Egoic Mind it is impossible to comprehend the Collective Interdependence. The Ego can only see its small self. (Ego’s job is to keep that small self safe; this is good; this is what Ego is meant to do. Ego Mind reminds Spirit of its current physical conditions: Conditions such as pain and the possible death of the body. Spirit has no idea what death is, so Ego serves a very Divine Role here.) So, when choosing and creating from the Egoic Mind the individual can only create from a standpoint of fear-based-condition-management. Meaning that given Ego’s role its function is to analyze and protect the body: Ego can’t comprehend Eternalness. When creating from fear-based-condition-management the individual is the farthest thing from being Independent. Of course the Ego is real good at deceiving a person into believing that they are Independent when they are, in fact, overly dependent on others. This over-dependence stems from the Egoic Mind’s inability to see Interdependence for what it is. Ego sees itself as alone and separate from everything and therefore creates within this state of fear trying to manipulate its’ surroundings. These surroundings are perceived as separate so therefore they can be inflicted with any type of harm the Ego feels it needs to manage its condition of fear – stealing from it, lying to it, using it in different matters for selfish gain, and so on. What happens when creating solely from the Egoic Mind is that the individual depends fully on its surrounds to supply what it needs to comfort the perceived threats it faces, all the while telling itself that it is independent (little i). Ego believes that it is separate from all that it is taking from.
