You may remember the man behind the famous "On the Road" movies with Bob Hope, but many don't know the heart warming stories of his passion, Elko, NV.

Bing Crosby is an icon of the golden age of film. With his velvet voice and charming acting chops he was a star up to his death in 1977. But it's his home life that adds a touch of magic to an already fascinating man.

His neice Carolyn Schneider ahs written a book about his love of the cowboy life and all that he did for a small town in Northern Nevada, "Bing: On the Road to Elko."

she will sign books, and maybe spare a few tales of her beloved uncle, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday at the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf inside Town Square.
