A new book about Michael Jackson with intimate details is slated for Sept., but pre-orders are mounting.

There has been a surge in Michael Jackson sales since his passing Thursday. While this book was slated for a Sept. 1 release date, it may be pushed up to satisfy fans' hunger.

He was there from the beginning of Michael Jackson's solo career. He assisted in the groundbreaking work that became "Off The Wall" and "Thriller." Now he's letting the world in on the secrets of one of music's biggest legends.

World-renowned producer and recording engineer Bruce Swedien has written, "In The Studio with Michael Jackson." The book, slated for Sept. 1, 2009 release, is filled with photos and technical insights into the man behind the moonwalk and some of the best chart toppers of all time. Swedien is best known for his extensive work with Quincy Jones, including the legendary 1980s recordings of Michael Jackson.

From Amazon.com "Plucked from a job at legendary Universal Audio in Chicago, Bruce Swedien entered into a fruitful and historic 30-year relationship with producer Quincy Jones. That partnership culminated in the groundbreaking recordings of Michael Jackson, beginning with The Wiz, continuing with Jackson's breakout solo debut "Off the Wall," and triumphing with "Thriller," which revolutionized music and video and fixed Jackson in culture as the King of Pop. Now Swedien reveals the technical details of creating those albums (along with "Bad," "Dangerous," and "HIStory") and offers personal remembrances and anecdotes about working with the pop icon.

Swedien is a five-time Grammy winner and has received a total of 13 Grammy nominations. The book is currently available for pre-order on Amazon.com.
