Always on the cutting edge of fashion, Studio Cabello's partner and manager, Elaine, gives us her review of 2009/10 hair trends. Mentioning that many of her clients use celebrity looks as a means to creating their own personalized image, we can take this as an invitation to go to the salon with pics of our favorite do. Fashion Week is generally a preview of upcoming trends and ultimately celebrities mimic the fashion week looks that she interprets in her salon.
Let’s look at what’s hot:
The ultimate Fall and Winter 2009/2010 hair trend is longer hair. With longer hair lengths, it is good for most face shapes and body types and you can try several options. While the short bob has not taken its final bow, this fall it is fading out slowly, and taking a backstage to longer flowing locks and natural hair styles.
Go Voluminous - Bigger Better
High hair styles with various back-combings, buns and other voluminous hair constructions adding height, texture and curls here and there. High hair style is one of the Fall-Winter 2009/2010 trends.
Go Straight and Sleek
Sleek hair with a side or middle parting with your natural hair color for this look is preferable. Back combed hair styles for Fall and Winter 2009/2010 will give you a trendy look whether you go with flowing or fastened hair. Longer, sleek looks will turn heads.
Backcombing or After Shower Hair
By backcombing around the whole head, loose hair is given more bulk. This hair trend is as simple as it can be: go to the shower, wash your hair, then brush it and your trendy hair look is ready!
Curls a la '70s
One of the constant trends the whole year round is curls nonstop! Curls of the '70s are in Vogue Fall-Winter 2009/10. If you have straight hair, just vary your hair style, curls can change your entire image!
Ponytails, Braids and Fringe
Where can we go without the unchallenged ponytails! Long ponytails fastened on the backside of the head are preferable. Ponytails that were featured on Paris runways as the fall and Winter 2009/2010 collections rolled out; were always very long.
The trend of the fringe is in for Fall and Winter 2009/2010. Choose a forehead covering fringe that is trendy with straight or swallow wing shapes. Long fringe bangs were popular last season and even managed to remain popular all through summer. It is quite clear that long bangs will make yet another comeback this fall and winter season.
Braids are extremely trendy this season as well! Braids will be basic, but where one or two braids existed, now those braids will be intertwined to create a unique look of "milkmaid" braids.
