Celebrities also get into the Halloween spirit. Here is a top 5 of the best costumes celebrities donned yesterday.

#5 Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt: We all know this couple from the reality show The Hills is crazy for publicity. They get number 5 just because we would really love it if Pratt’s costume was reality. Wouldn’t that give them a lot of press?

#4 Ellen DeGeneres: Can you tell what Ellen dressed up as for her Halloween show? The talk-show host told her production staff she wanted to look like “a million bucks” and that is exactly what she got. Her "change" costume gets extra points for originality, although it is not the most flattering one.

#3 Martha Stewart: We can’t deny that Martha Stewart knows how to go all out. Her Medusa costume is as intricate as it can get, without being Heidi Klum’s costume, and her makeup must have taken hours to be camera ready. Martha also gets points for most classy, crafty and impressive costume.

#2 Kelly Ripa and Regis Philbin: It is nice to see the morning show hosts are still willing to have fun and step out of their comfort zone. Regis Philbin and executive producers Art Moore and Michael Gelman dressed as the Jonas Brothers—minus the fitted and stylish outfits that the JoBro are known for. Kelly Ripa picked Disney’s character Hannah Montana taking number 2 because she actually looks like Miley Cyrus in this picture.

#1 Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon as cookies and milk: Original and funny! Nick Cannon came up with the idea for the couple’s costumes. As perfect as peanut butter and jelly or ketchup and mustard, but less overdone, Mariah manages to look sexy dressed up as cookies and Nick just looks like he is having fun. Best Halloween costume for 2008!
