Back in September, 2008 Lauren Conrad penned a deal with HarperCollins to write three fictional books. The cover for the first book in L.A. Candy has been released and the novel is set to hit shelves in June of this year.
The books are "loosely" based on Conrad's life. "Jane Roberts can't wait to start living it up. She may be in L.A. for an internship, but Jane plans to play as hard as she works and has enlisted her BFF Scarlett to join in the fun," says the back cover of the book. The novel is about "what it's like to come of age in Hollywood while starring in a reality TV show, written by a girl who has experienced it all firsthand."
Would Conrad give us the dirty on her frenemies and BFFS? "I'm not trying to do a fictional story based on all my friends in my real life because their stories aren't really mine to tell. Some of the characters may symbolize people in my life, but it is in no way calling anyone out," Conrad told People back in September.
