Former child star Lindsay Lohan opened up about Samantha Ronson, family matters and her career for the Fabulous Holiday issue of Harper’s Bazaar. Of her double stay in rehab this past year, Lindsay said, "I did it to myself, and I have to deal with the consequences. I'm thankful for what I can take out of it. Now I feel clear. That's my past, and I'm a different person now. I have goals and I'm working to achieve them. I'm not hanging out with people who are out every night getting f-ed up. And, I think that I’m happy.”
The reason for that happiness might be her romantic relationship with DJ Samantha Ronson, "I feel like it jinxes it. It's hard. The second I start talking about whomever I'm seeing, a month or two later it's failed. I think it's no shock to anyone that it's been going on for quite some time…She's a wonderful person and I love her very much,” LiLo told Harper’s Bazaar. She went on to say she is not embarrassed of being romantically involved to a woman and that she appreciates people no matter what gender. According to the redhead, her family supports her, except for her publicity-driven father, Michael Lohan, who has openly criticized Ronson. "He's not a bad guy. He's just making bad choices,” Lohan said of Michael who she currently doesn’t speak to.
What has Lindsay been doing lately? She has been trying to get her career back together with appearances on Ugly Betty —reportedly cut short because of Lindsay's diva attitude—and a new album in the works, as well as a leggings line called 6126 after Marilyn Monroe’s birthday. "That's what this business is. It builds you up to take you down and then sees how far you can come back...I'm up for a challenge, and I won't settle, “she says about convincing people and entertainment entrepreneurs that she is a serious person ready to work.
