Hello Readers, While the Denver area will receive a foot of new snow or more through tomorrow afternoon, and the mountains figure on up to three feet in some places, I will be traveling to London for the second annual London Greek Film Festival where my film Seasons, has been nominated for the Odysseus Award in the best documentary category. Meanwhile, you can go to the site and vote the Audience Choice award for Seasons by clicking on this link: http://www.londongreekfilmfestival.com/awards.htm and clicking on the Visitor's choice award >> link above the film clip icon. Scroll down to Seasons, check the box next to it and hit submit. That's it.
In case you're wondering, Seasons is a film I produced and shot entirely in Colorado that features my original poetry, the original music of Alexei Karpov, with whom I collaborated on its creation, and the choreography and dance company of David Taylor and the David Taylor Dance Theatre. It was shot in and around such places such as Vail, Glenwood Canyon's Hanging Lake Trail and the Denver Botanical Gardens. In 2003, the music received the Moondance International Film Festival's Seahorse Award for Best Film Score. The local director, donnie l. betts directed the film for me.
I'll try to get the London folks to put the film up on their site so you can see what all the fuss is about. It's 32 minutes long and very artsy. I look forward to writing for all of you when I return! Best wishes, - Gus
