Find out more about Gabe: Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area, Gabe Brown leapt into the Pacific ocean when he was 6 years old. Starting off with a bogie board and moving onto a surfboard in his teenage years, Gabe learned to surf in the cold and sometimes treacherous waters of Northern California. Shortly after getting hooked on surfing, Gabe mixed in another hobby, photography which he studied at the Academy of Art in San Francisco and brought out to the water to combine two things that he enjoyed quite a bit. Gabe's photography and writing experience combined with having his roots planted deeply in the scene presented him with his next opportunity - Editor of Kiteboarding magazine. This career move allowed Gabe to travel the world seeking out uncrowded waves and pristine beaches while interviewing and surfing with world famous surfers and kite surfers. After 3 years of touring the world, Gabe returned to San Francisco as he claims that "the best stuff is right here at home." |
