Orientation meetings begin this week for Hernando County Schools' three magnet schools for potential enrollment for the upcoming 2010-2011 school year.  Parents who wish to submit a first-time application for enrollment of their child must attend one of these orientation meetings to obtain an application. 

It is not necessary to attend the orientation meetings if you have been to one in the past, but you must submit a new application. These are available at the magnet school’s front office Nov. 1 - Dec. 17 from 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Orientation dates are as follows:

Chocachatti Elementary School, 6 p.m. Nov. 3 and Nov. 17, in the cafeteria, 4135 California St., Brooksville. Call (352) 797-7067.

Challenger K-8, 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Nov. 5 and Nov. 10, in the cafeteria, 13400 Elgin Blvd., Spring Hill. Call (352) 797-7024

Nature Coast Technical High School, 6 p.m. Nov. 4, Nov. 10 and Nov. 19, 4057 California St., Brooksville. Call (352) 797-7088.

Any auditions and/or interviews will be scheduled after the application deadline as applicable.  Please contact the individual schools for additional information.
