If you are looking for the perfect event to meet all of your Fourth of July needs including a barbecue dinner, fireworks, and thousands of people celebrating alongside you, this may be just what you are looking for.  Add baseball to the mix and let the Lexington Legends host your Fourth of July festivities.

Our hometown minor league baseball team takes on the Rome Braves at Lexington's Applebee's Park this Saturday, July 4th, at 7:05 p.m.  Come early and enjoy the "largest 4th of July BBQ cookout in Central Kentucky" as you are served up an all-you-can-eat menu which includes Angus burgers, grilled chicken, hot dogs, garden salad, baked beans, fruit cobbler, and Pepsi products. The picnic is available from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. in the Budweiser Stables. Go to the Legends 4th of July BBQ link for additional details regarding tickets and pricing for the BBQ picnic.

After eating your picnic dinner and cheering on the Legends, stick around for the fireworks display following the game.

This is a terrific way for families to celebrate America's independence. As the saying goes, there's nothing more American than baseball. Play ball!
