There's a fellow rider on my bike commute I run into every now and then. He's an alpha. Always wants to be at the front. Strikes up inane conversations about his new gears. Wants you to slow down so he can pass and you can have the privilege of drafting off his rear tire, but really ... he just wants to be out front, even if he's a hair slower.

What merriment!

So you can imagine my jealousy when I learned about Lance Armstrong's most recent public invitation—this time in Los Angeles—to go riding with the seven-time Tour de France champion.

Hundreds of riders clipped in at Griffith Park in Los Angeles to ride with Armstrong Wednesday morning.

This isn't the first time Armstrong has ridden with the everyman General Classification. Over the past few months, he has posted tweets on his Twitter feed inviting cyclists to join him in Glasgow, Scotland, and Plano, Texas. Keep an eye on his Twitter feed to find out where he'll ride next and everything else going on in the man's life.

Take advantage of this opportunity. It would be like shooting three-pointers with Michael Jordan or playing catch with Tom Brady. Actually, it would be even cooler than that.
