This Saturday, September 12, from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm, travel to the home of the Atlanta Braves for the Atlanta Bar-B-Q Festival. Sponsored by Comcast, Coca-Cola and others, this free festival will feature live music, children's activities and, of course, BBQ.
The former Atlanta Brave and record-holder in stolen bases (72 in 1991) Otis Nixon will sign autographs of his new book The Catch. Kids can participate in a Baseball Clinic and enjoy inflatable games and rides in the Kids Area. Atlanta Blues and Bluegrass artists will provide live entertainment while festival-goers visit vendors' booths, including Bruster's Ice Cream & Yogurt and Taste of Atlanta, and watch professional and amateur cooks compete for prizes; the winner of the professional division will have the opportunity to sell their 'Que during a 2010 season game.
The festival will take place in the Green parking lot at Turner Field, located at 755 Hank Aaron Drive SE in Atlanta 30315. Parking is $10.00.
