Travel to Savannah, Georgia with the children this weekend for the 3rd Annual Savannah Children's Book Festival.  The festivities, scheduled from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm at Forsyth Park, are hosted by the local library system and the City of Savannah, per the Festival Guide and will be held at Forsythe Park, which is home to the 151 year-old Forsythe Fountain.

If You Give a Mouse a Cookie author Laura Numeroff, Magic Schoolbus illustrator Bruce Degen, and Doc Neil and Miss Rosa of GPB and PBS Kids will host readings and such, along with many other authors and illustrators.

Discuss the importance of reading, or have a passenger read a book, on the way to Savannah.  The kids can read one of their festival finds on the way back home.
