Love’s strength cannot be compared to any other force in the world. As humans, we are emotional beings driven by motivational systems that encourage us to seek out people, places and things that bring us comfort and peace – the most ultimate goal? Love.

Loving another person and having them love you in return, can be one of the most gratifying and stimulating experiences possible. We all want it, and spend our lives seeking it. The trick is holding onto it and enjoying it while it lasts.

Although love can be the greatest miracle of your life, it can also be the source of the greatest misery as well. When hearts are broken, or tragedy strikes and a loved one is taken away, grief is imminent. It is impossible to hold on to anyone or anything forever. The love you feel today may live infinitely, but the source of your love does not come with such a promise.

Be thankful for the love you have experienced and never take your significant other for granted. Realize that at any given moment on any given day, this source of love can be taken away just as it was introduced to you. Learn to cherish the little moments and the seemingly insignificant details of your lives together. Never let a moment pass without fully realizing the gift you have been given.

Live today, enjoy today, love today.

Take a look at this great article, giving advice on how to live in the moment!

“When something does not insist on being noticed, when we aren't grabbed by the collar or struck on the skull by a presence or an event, we take for granted the very things that most deserve our gratitude” ~Cynthia Ozick
