Vampires are the bad boys of the zombie world

The vampire obsession has hit the nation by storm, especially considering the Twilight craze and the upcoming movie Cirque du Freak: The Vampire Assistant.  But what do you notice about the lines for these vampire flicks?  There are hardly any men.  Most of the audience tends to be young girls and women.

So what is it about vampires that have women so blood thirsty?  

Vampires are generally characterized as mysterious bad boys.  They are perfect gentlemen, dead sexy, sexually charged and full of charm.  Women throughout history have fallen for this type of man, though the end result of the fiery affair tends to be disastrous - especially if there is a true vampire involved!  

The vampire sex appeal can be a telling reason why women tend to be more drawn to them over men.  The guys most often prefer the zombie type of monster - something with real gore and horror, whose only level of 'character' lies in his thirst for mass murder instead of romancing the local damsel in distress. 

Even though vampires are fictional characters, they have women everywhere swooning.  The bad boy still reigns as the biggest lure in women's libidos and fantasies, even in the world of horror.  Let's just hope women learn to keep the bad boy fascination a fantasy, and not a reality.  There is much to beware when a bad boy is involved in matters of the heart, especially when he's only after one thing - sucking the life right out of you!
