Folsom Street Fair 2009

If you are looking for an interesting get away weekend, then head up to San Francisco and the Folsom Street Fair. This is adult Disneyland! Check your issues at the door, put on some leather and high heels, a little make-up (or a whole lot!), and just enjoy yourself.

The actual Fair is on September 27, from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Folsom Street in San Francisco, CA. Feel free to head there up to a week prior to the fair to take part in a myriad of parties, club nights, play parties, educational seminars, lots of fun shopping, and a good time.

Folsom Street Fair is actually the culmination of San Francisco Leather Week, September 20 – 27, 2009. This event has been going on since 1984 and is usually the last week in September. This event is part of a long history of “restoration” in downtown San Francisco, beginning in 1934.

Not only can you peruse the wares of a variety of SM leather, clothing, and toy vendors, but you can also seek out legal advocates, sex educators, and organized social groups that suit your needs and interests.

This event is open to the public and welcomes all genders and orientations. All ages are welcome to the fair, although there are adult-only areas, and the 21-and-over drinking law will be enforced.

For more information please visit the Folsom Street Events site.
