Travel offers diverse avenues for us to learn about ourselves through our experiences.  When we speak of holistic matters, we touch on the body-heart-mind-spirit connection.

The following are 10 tips for holistic living gathered from traveling the world and experiencing diverse cultures.

1.  Refrain from judging

2.  Learn from your environment

3.  Live the moment at its fullest

4.  Listen to your Inner Guidance

5.  Let your imagination take flight

6.  Align your body - heart - mind - spirit

7.  Allow your radiance to shine forth

8.  Forgive, forget and start over

9.  Interact with non-attachment

10. Love all, live joyfully, channel peace

Many of us tend to seek answers continually from other sources when the answers can be found within ourselves.  From a shamanic point of view, our environment offers us ways to understand our experiences.  Through signs and symbols, we are given metaphors as clues to how to solve our problems.  The behaviors of animals to the presence of unusual creatures out of the context of their usual habitations are messages from nature.  The movement of flora and our attention to particular elements in our environment also provide us a myriad of possibilities to consider in overcoming our challenges.  Holistic travel asks us to look at the world with our sixth sense, as the world offers many answers to our life questions.

At times we  encounter people who lead us to answers to our questions.  We witness others' experiences who are similar to ours, and we see how they provide a mirror to our own experiences. Through friendships we develop, we find ways to other avenues of wisdom, taken from many parts of the world. One of these finds is the Abraham - Hicks Teachings in the United States on the Law of Attraction, the Law of Deliberate Creation and the Art of Allowing.  Another is Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam in Bangalore, India who aims to initiate 100 million people into the unique meditation Nithya Dhyaan and 100 thousand people to living enlightenment.
