Oprah is treating her staff to a cruise in the Mediterranean. They will spend 14 days on this lavish cruise, visiting several ports in Spain, Italy, Turkey, Greece and Malta.

There is a wide choice of cruises in this region. With so many beautiful and lively ports, the historic sights and different cultures; choosing the right cruise can be a challenge. Making the choice depends on what places are on the ‘to-go’ list. One can consider going to the eastern Mediterranean ports of Greece, Cyprus, Turkey and Egypt, or the western ports of Spain, France, Malta and Italy. There are also cruises which travel solely in the Adriatic Sea, visiting ports in Croatia, Slovenia, Greece and Italy – most notably Venice. The African coast hosts some exiting ports of call especially in Tunisia and Egypt, offering an oriental touch which cannot be found quite easily in European ports. It all depends on how long the holiday will be, as there are cruises which have a very long travel itinerary.

Prices can be compared easily as well as quality of services. Flights and cruise packages can be prepared from travel agents as well as online.
