This Father's Day bring your Dad to New Hampshire for some incredible adventures that he won’t soon forget! Some are even free for dear old dad!

 

Here’s a glimpse of some of the Father's Day activities you can do throughout the state:

 

Old-Fashioned Fun at Mt. Washington Resort, Bretton Woods – Join in an obstacle course challenge, fight to win in a game of tug of war, hop your way to the finish line in a potato sack race, play a wiffle ball game, and make a craft-y gift for dad!  The weekend of June 19 – 21 is full of activities for the whole family.  Dads can even join in a Scotch tasting. 603-278-4947,

 

Wildcat Mountain Ski Resort, Pinkham Notch, NH – On Father’s Day, Sunday, June 21st, dads and granddads can enjoy the scenic gondola for free when one or more other family members purchase an adult or junior gondola ride. The only one of its kind in North America, the Wildcat Express transforms from New Hampshire’s fastest and most powerful summit quad chairlift during the winter and spring skiing and riding season to the state’s highest summer and fall scenic gondola. The 6,700 foot cable line transports the enclosed 4-person scenic gondolas offering a unique guest experience and opportunity to view Mt. New Canopy Tour at Mt. Washington Resort, Bretton Woods – Dads fly free this Father’s Day!  Dads get a complimentary Canopy Tour on June 21 with the purchase of an accompanying full-price ticket.  Descending over 1000 feet of elevation, the recently-debuted tour takes nature-lovers and thrill-seekers across a series of treetop zip lines; it is one of the longest canopy tours in the continental United States. High-flying suspension bridges and hiking trails connect the zip lines, and the tour concludes with the Williwaw Racing Zip, a dual, side-by-side zip line leading right into the Bretton Woods base area.  603-278-4947

Children’s Museum of NH, Dover, NH – Free admission for all fathers and grandfathers on Sunday, June 21 from noon – 5 pm. Children are invited to make a special art keepsake for dad in the museum’s Project Area during their visit. Museum staff will help children make a unique handprint picture with a poem on the back, mounted for hanging. This drop-in activity is included in the regular admission price of $7 for adults & children, $6 for seniors, and free for children under age 1. 603-742-2002.    

 

Father’s Day at the Currier Museum of Art, Manchester, NH – Take a tour, make some art, and enjoy a special menu at the cafe featuring a Bloody Mary bar, specialty beers, hoagies, and grinders. The tour and art-making is free with museum admission. No reservations necessary. Father’s Day Brunch Buffet at Adair Inn, Bethlehem, NH – Treat Dad to a harp and bagpipe concert by Jane Wilcox Hively and Jonathan Hively of Mtn. Stream Music. Fifth Annual Father’s Day Antique Fest, Milford, NH – What would Dads really like to do this Father's Day? Some might enjoy the winning combination of sports, hot dogs and antiques! New Hampshire Antique Co-op proudly presents a Roadshow-style antiques appraisal session, an outdoor hot dog barbeque, and an antique sporting equipment exhibit and book signing. Appraisals are offered from 10 a.m. - noon, while barbeque hours are 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. (603) 673-8499, .

 

New Hampshire Mustang Club 21st Annual Father’s Day Car Show, Litchfield, NH – Free admission to this show of antiques, classic and late model cars of all types.  9 am – 3 pm. Also take in the fun at Mel’s Funway Park and enjoy go-karts, mini-golf, batting cages and more. .

 

Laconia Bike Week, Laconia, NH –And if Dad enjoys the fun of the ride, wrap up the week on Sunday June 21 with some great sights and sounds.  Just a sampling of the events that day are: Laconia Roadhouse at the Lobster Pound, Triumph Motorcycle Demos at Funspot, Wrap & Roll at Laconia Harley featuring live music, "Full Throttle" Exhibit at Shelburne Museum, Farewell Party Buffet at Bullwinkle's Restaurant & Lounge in Ashland, and Paradise Beach Club Final Party with Live Band.  603-366-2000 .
