Friday, November 7th

Rae Restaurant Happy Hour – The recession has forced everyone to tone down the spending, but Rae actually becomes (gasp) affordable during their Friday evening Happy Hour(s) from 4:30 – 7:30. Nosh on free passed apps, $5 wines by the glass and $3 Yuenglings. Affordable luxury, it’s not just an oxymoron.

10 Arts Happy Hour – Granted, their specials are kind of a joke (formerly $15 wallet-raping cocktails are now only…$10) but if you’re looking to sample the best, or want to impress that special someone, take advantage of the $5 savings per/drink from 5 – 7.

Saturday, November 8th

Beer Run – What will you do for a free beer? Jogging or biking the 13.1 miles from General Lafayette Brewery to The Tiedhouse gets you a free round at Philly’s newest gastropub. Reward your (very) sore muscles with the carbs they need to recover.

Singles Brewery and Beer Tasting Tour – If you’re single and love beer (or drunk girls) then grab a friend and make the short drive to Cherry Hill’s Flying Fish Brewery for the afternoon. Your $15 ticket pays for a private tour with a brew master, beer tasting and a shot at love.

Breweries of Central Pennsylvania Tasting Tour – $65 ticket buys you a day's worth of brewery tours, beer tastings, lunch, and most crucially - a sober bus driver.

Brewphoria 4 – If you’re hankering for a pulled pork sandwich and a microbrew, hit up this legendary festival in Reading, Pennsylvania. The pre-sale has currently ended but click here to contact someone about purchasing tickets at the door. Current participants include: Allagash, Beer Mart, Great Divide, Lancaster, North Coast, Rogue, Sly Fox, Stoudt’s, Straub, Troeg’s, Victory and Weyerbacher.

Sunday, November 9th

Taste of the NFL – Philadelphia Eagle greats (like Jerry Sizemore) host this charity brunch to benefit Philabundance at Jack’s Firehouse. The $100 ticket includes a deluxe brunch buffet, complimentary wine, beer, hors d’oeuvres and the chance to meet NFL legends. Justify the expense to your girlfriend/wife/life partner by pointing out that you're doing this for charity (obviously).

Tria Café’s Sunday School – Taste unique wine, cheese and beer at half-price (A $2.50 draft of Victory ESB? Count me in!)

Wine Tasting for Dummies – Crossing Vineyards offers this introductory wine tasting class for $25.

World Café Live Holiday Fair – A $3 fee secures entry to this fair that includes more than 50 Philadelphia vendors displaying crafts ranging from homemade soaps to jewelry, ornaments and art. Get a jump on your holiday shopping downstairs, and if hungry, venture upstairs for some delectables.
