Blais poses with best friend, liquid nitrogen

Got a spare $175 lying around? Top Chef’s Richard Blais (the one with the liquid nitrogen and adorably spiked hair) is cooking at Tangerine tonight as part of the Celebrity Chef Tour to benefit the James Beard Foundation. If his groundbreaking new-school molecular gastronomy techniques aren't enough to convince you to shell out some serious dough, then consider his experience. Blais has worked with legends Daniel Boulud and Thomas Keller in addition to appearing on Food Network’s Iron Chef as well as running the kitchen at HOME, a stylish Southern restaurant in Atlanta. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres and wine pairings will accompany the five course meal, and Blais himself will be on hand to hobnob, discuss his recipes and frankly – kiss a little ass for a good cause. Go broke, get drunk at the open bar and buy your tickets here.
