'Burn The Floor' featuring 'Dancing With The Stars' cast celebrates opening night at Providence

Yesterday was the opening night for the new dance show "Burn The Floor." After the performance the cast, which includes veterans of television dance programs "So You Think You Can Dance" and "Dancing With The Stars", went to Providence Restaurant and Lounge to celebrate.

DWTS dancers Krina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are the featured pair in the show until August 16th.

Friends and television co-stars came out for the after party at Providence, including soap-star Susan Lucci, Nigel Lythgoe (So You Think You Can Dance), Carrie Ann Inaba (Dancing With The Stars), Chrishell Stause, Caroline Manzo (Real Housewives of New Jersey) and others.

Featured members of the show were also there to mark the occasion. The stars of "Burn The Floor" are Henry Byalikov (Superstars of Dance), Sharna Burgess (So You Think You Can Dance), Kevin Clifton (International IDSF Open Champion), Sasha Farber (three-time Junior & Youth Latin Australian Champion), Jeremy Garner (six-time Australian Amateur Latin finalist), Gordana Grandosek (Italian Open Champion), Patrick Helm (Welsh Open Champion), Sarah Hives ("Dancing with the Stars"), Melanie Hooper (two-time Australian Professional Latin Champion), Peta Murgatroyd ("Dancing with the Stars"), Giselle Peacock (four-time U.S Champion), Nuria Santalucia (two-time Australian Latin Champion), Sarah Soriano (8th in the world, British Open Championship – Youth Latin American), Damon and Rebecca Sugden (three-time Asian Pacific Ballroom Champions), Trent Whiddon (Australia's "Dancing with the Stars"), Damian Whitewood (Australasian Champion), and Robin Windsor (Ballroom & Latin International finalist).

Providence Restaurant & Lounge is located at 311 West 57th Street, between 8th Avenue and 9th Avenue. The spot is a popular event venue and because of that they are not doing dinner service during this summer. Providence has an amazing history, once a recording studio performers like Jimi Hendrix, Billy Joel, John Lennon, Frank Sintra and many others recorded music in the space because of the superior accostics. Burn The Floor — boasting an eclectic mix of champion dancers — officially opened on Broadway Aug. 2 at the Longacre Theatre. Previews for the 12-week limited engagement began July 25. Veterans of TV's "So You Think You Can Dance" and "Dancing With the Stars" are in the troupe.
