Remember when dark nail polish meant you were goth, and not necessarily in a good way?
Now, dark nail polish is sophisticated and modern, thanks to a reinvention of gothic style by designers like Ricardo Tisci for Givenchy. It can give any look a little more of an edge without dominating your whole outfit or compromising your femininity.
You can find darker colors at any Target, H-E-B or drugstore, and Sephora's OPI nail polishes include great berry and even black shades, like the new "I'm With Brad" shade at right. Sephora describes it as a "shimmering wine over dark coffee" color, great for the lady who prefers drinks at Sullivan's or the one who likes a fun night out in Midtown.
