Today only, Groupon.com is offering packages of five 2-hour kayaking or canoeing excursions, courtesy of Jack's Boathouse, for just $50 (a 50% discount!). All five 2-hour rentals must be used by 21 July 2010, but can be used for one long trip, multiple short trips, or split among friends and family.

Tucked under the Key Bridge at 3500 K Street, family-owned and operated Jack's Boathouse offers single kayaks, tandem kayaks, and 2 and 3-person canoes.  The Boat House also offers a gas grill and picnic area for use by its patrons.

The Potomac offers convenient, traffic-free access to many of the D.C.'s most famous sights, including the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial, as well as natural wonders and wildlife on the Virginia side of the river.  Kayak trips from Jack's Boathouse have been featured on the Travel Channel and National Geographic Adventure.
