Well, mom and dad – it’s finally November, and it time to reach down deep and think of all the things we are thankful for. Keep in mind however that if you ask your teens what they are thankful for they are likely to say, “I’m really super thankful that New Moon, is FINALLY coming out!”
So, if you are totally in the dark about that response, I have to tell you; time to get with it! New Moon is the eagerly anticipated sequel to Twilight. In Twilight we met Edward Cullen and Bella Swan played by Robert Pattinson and Kirsten Stewart. Teenage sweethearts and it’s a match made in … well we can’t really say heaven, because Edward is a vampire! Girls everywere were in love with Edward, (so much so, they were breaking up with their real boyfriends) and that was just from reading the book. After last years blockbuster, and getting to feast their eyes on Pattinson as Edward - teenage hearts everywhere ached to be little vampires.
By now they’ve read all of Stephenie Meyer’s books, and with the next installment of the series to be released this November 20th, a near vampiric frenzy is being released. But how quickly some of us forget. Teen hearts everywhere are forgetting about romantic Edward, and falling in love all over again for mysterious, Jacob Black played by Taylor Lautner. Teen Vogue says, "In New Moon, Taylor Lautner steals the show as the next hero of The Twilight Saga. Get ready to swoon over Jacob Black."
I’ll go out on the limb here and admit that I personally have not read the books (although my daughters have). I did see the Twilight movie, and I was very pleasantly pleased. I’m eagerly waiting for the 20th also… thankfully.
