Throughout the High Country there are many all inclusive vacation deals that should be taken advantage of.  Depending on what kind of activities you are interested in when traveling to the mountains, there are different hotel packages to meet your needs.

For the skiers, the Village Inns of Blowing Rock (which consist of the Village Inn, Ridgeway Inn, or Hillwinds Inn) are offering a package with one night of accommodations.  With that on night stay comes two ski passes to Appalachian Ski Mountain (which is minutes from any of the inns).  You can pick up additional ski passes on the property if you book at least two days in advance.  This is a great deal because not only does it come with the ski passes but continental breakfast and an evening of wine and cheese for the traveling adults. Depending on which Inn you choose to stay at and the room you choose, a one night stay can be anywhere from $79 to $169.

If you are planning on making a trip to Blowing Rock for the annual Winterfest (January 22-25), accommodations at Crippen’s Country Inn might be just what you are looking for.   This small country inn, that sits right in the middle of the village of Blowing Rock, is perfect for a relaxing getaway, while taking in all that Winterfest has to offer.  During Winterfest, Crippen’s has a two night package for two with all inclusive tickets to various events during Winterfest including: the chili cook-off, the wine tasting and auction, the pancake breakfast, and the winter blues festival.  If you aren’t already full from all the events, the Crippen’s country restaurant is a casual yet fine dinning place to fill up and enjoy some drinks.  One night stay can range from $159 (for guest rooms) to $239 (for the cottages), but many of the guest rooms are “on sale” currently.

There are many all-inclusive packages being offered this winter in the High Country.  They range from Winterfest packages to wine and shopping packages.  Although times are tough, a trip to the mountains of North Carolina has never been more affordable than it is this winter.
