One of Washington's must-sees is more affordable for families this holiday season. Kids are free at the Newseum from now until January 4th.
Those who think of the Newseum as just a shrine for media lovers haven't been yet. Sure, there are walls of newspaper front pages and live news channel feeds. You'd expect that. But there is also a three-story original East German guard tower, a twisted steel column from the World Trade Center, and a Sports Theater with news clips of sports' most memorable (and laughable) moments over the last century.
So take your kids, and do it before January 4, 2009. During the Family Fun Deal, each paying adult may bring three children aged seven to 18 for free.
