Air & Scare at the Air and Space Museum
Come and trick or treat with an alien. The Steven F.Udvar-Hazy Center (better known as the Air and Space Museum near Dulles) is hosting a Halloween party on October 25th.
The museum will offer spooky exhibits and activities for kids of all ages. The Tot Zone will feature story telling and a Costume Corner. The Teen and ‘Tween Zone will host simulation games and robotics demonstrations. The IMAX theatre will show an episode of the Jetsons, and seats are free. The whole building will be speckled with treat stations and information stations.
Of course, the museum’s regular attractions will be there, too: 122 space objects and more than 100 aircraft (some of which you can climb into). There is also a viewing tower where plane fanatics can watch take offs and landings at nearby Washington Dulles International Airport.
The museum is very kid-friendly, even when it isn’t Halloween. The aviation hangar offers ample space for youngsters to run off steam. There are ramps for strollers and a food court with McDonalds, too. What more do you need?
