Lions and tigers and candy, oh my! The National Zoo in Washington is gearing up for its tenth annual Boo at the Zoo, four nights of Halloween fun for children ages two to 12.
The zoo is really putting on the Ritz. It will be all decked out in Halloween décor. Volunteers will man more than 40 treat stations. Zoo keepers will offer special talks. Zoo animals will . . . be present, which is probably all you can ask of them.
Children are encouraged to wear their costumes and come hungry.
The event tends to sell out (October 25th is already booked), so buy your tickets now. You can purchase tickets through Ticketmaster or by phone at (202) 397-7328 . You can also buy tickets the zoo’s visitor center between 9am and 5pm.
When: October 23 – 26 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm

Cost: $25 for everyone ages two and older. Friends of the Zoo (FONZ) members pay less.
