Catwalk for Charity IV benefits the Steadfast Foundation
Sunday, November 8th was a great night to be a Buffalo Sabres fan with a ticket to Catwalk for Charity IV, the annual fashion show benefiting Ryan Miller's Steadfast Foundation.
Among the highlights at this year's "Fabulous 50s" themed event:
- Great performances by Terry Buchwald as Elvis, Shama Lama from Rochester, Michael Mirand as Frank Sinatra, and local country music favorites BareBack Jack.
- Executive Chef Paul Jenkins of Tempo calling out Patrick Kaleta as a bad cook - setting up this year's Iron Chef BBQ Challenge.
- South Buffalo native and Sabres rookie Tim Kennedy coming on stage to draw the winning ticket for a freshwater cultured pearl and 14K gold necklace from Lisa Hunter Jewelers. The winner - his mother.
- Rick Jeanneret in a poodle skirt. Really.
- Drew Stafford's annual drum solo.
- And of course, the fashion show.
The auctions at this year's event raised over $54,000 to benefit the Steadfast Foundation, with funds going toward research and support for those suffering from childhood cancers. For more information on the Steadfast Foundation, visit thesteadfastfoundation.com.
