
So you have the candy ready to distribute, the costume has been finally decided upon (with a backup in the dress up box) and the "how to" for face painting has been googled and printed out. But more importantly: What's for dinner?
As I mentioned earlier, have some veggies and fruit out in bowls for the kids to snack on as they get ready. Little cubes of cheese or some nuts are great too. They may be very excited. Okay, admit it, you're as excited if not more, so their appetite might not be great. Keep dinner simple.
Order a pizza or whip one up to have ready (one for the kids and one for the adults).
Make a few sandwiches that you can stick in the fridge for after trick or treating.
Make breakfast for dinner either before or after you come back with the loot.
Make a batch of soup or pick some up at your favourite local spot.
