That airy, soulful, soft, and simultaneously powerful voice that exudes professional perfection. That face she makes to let you know that the song is just as serious as it feels. That funny little thing she does with her feet to keep time. It's all the mark of  a serious musician that feels her music as much as any person with a soul will after one listen.

Kathleen Coffee is every Indie music fan's dream. The awesome independent talent hidden in a small, unassuming frame. With the ability to play guitar, banjo, harmonica, violin, flute,. and any percussion instrument; her ability to make moving music seem endless. Often willing to barter music, she is open to giving her time and gifts to anyone willing to listen.

Her self titled album is an airy acoustic narrative full of awesome titles embodies the creative spirit of the Appalachia we know and love in a modern folk sound. The quality of the composition is on the level of Joni Mitchell and Tori Amos. The creative spirit runs into other mediums as well. She is also a published poet.

Though she will traveling to L.A. for several shows, June also brings her to Charleston for two engagements on the 25th and 26. This is definitely an act worth seeing. Further contact can be made through her website at www.myspace.com/katcoffee or www.sonicbirds.com/katcoffee . Her album can be purchased through iTunes at http://cdbaby.com/cd/kathleencoffee.

For your listening please, here are some videos of her performances.
