Nowadays, Rock and Blues are beating out of the Southern West Virginia town of Bluefield. If someone was looking to point fingers, one would have to point it to the band that has been creating noise since 2005, the Distryct'.

This band of classic rock musicians all formed from the pieces of other broken bands to become the collectively tight group they are today. Though the band is only four years old, they can by no stretch be called amateurs. The Distryct brings 30 years of combined musical experience to the stage. With that experience comes the ability to play nearly any popular rock song in existence by request (Yes,  they can do Free Bird).  Put that on your rocker resume!

In addition to the classics, the band has just released a new album entitled Somewhere in Between . It includes original music such as Save Me and Justify. The guitar rifts and classic beats are enough to bring out the air guitar and drum hero without a video game or console. Just Rock.

To rock along to their music more often, one should view their page at www.myspace.com/thedistryct4. The album and music can be purchase (quite reasonably) at the official band site, www.thedistryct.com. The tour calender brings the band around to Athens (June 19), Princeton (June 20 and Aug. 15), Bluefield (July 10&11), and Oak Hill (Aug. 8) quite soon. Videos below offer more reference for the movement of rock that is The Distryct.
