Tacos Guymas at Harbor Steps

Do you eat out almost daily? If the answer is yes and you want to know how to order for your health and save a few hundred calories every meal read these dining fit articles that cover basic every day places to eat. Seattleites are part of a culture of eating out daily, and it’s no longer okay to treat ourselves every time!

Tacos Guaymas is a perfect lunch spot if you like to share a plate. Portions are more than generous, and like any other Mexican restaurant, they are gigantic. While it is possible to eat the entire plate, the only way you’re going to get out of there without blowing more than half a day’s allotment of calories is by sharing with your lunch date. The basis of any healthy diet is to eat five small meals a day, so most things at Tacos Guaymas don't fit.

Madonna Cook, 71 years old, is on the go traveling in her RV. She likes the Wet Guaymas Veggie Burrito. Before she even finished half of it, she was FULL!

She says, "It's a great change from a burger that makes me bloated and weighs me down. When I eat here I feel like I'm meeting my goal of eating healthy, with all the veggies. That's important since we're on the go all the time."

What’s great about Tacos Guaymas is the ingredients are fresh and nothing is overcooked or salted. The natural ingredients flavor the food instead of salt and god-knows-what else. Way better than other standard Mexican fare, this casual place hits the spot.
Order the Wet Guaymas Veggie Burrito. The whole wheat tortilla comes covered in tangy tomato sauce and is stuffed with fresh sautéed zucchini, potatoes, spinach, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, rice and black beans. You can also order this wholesome meal “naked”, meaning with no tortilla so you won’t have to split the meal. Taking off the tortilla has to save you about 300 calories. It’s gigantic!

The fajita plate is another great meal to split. It comes with a basket of six tortillas. Don’t stuff yourself silly eating six tortillas. Share them and you’ll feel better and shave half the calories!

Tacos Guaymas is located all over Seattle including Green Lake, Fremont, White Center, West Seattle, Capital Hill, and Harbor Steps. It's likely you work or live near one so stop in for lunch any time!
