Have you ever gotten hungry while out and about in Arlington? Oh, sure you have. There's that dilemma of being in unfamiliar territory with no idea of what's good. Perhaps, you just want to sample the wares of a few places. Well, Taste of Arlington is the place for you.
Taste of Arlington covers the county from Pentagon City to Ballston to Shirlington. This year the event is hosted and now owned by the Ballston-Virginia Square Partnership. The partnership has recruited over 40 of the county's restaurants and food service providers. The cuisine includes Asian, Ethiopian, and Latin to name a few. Admission to Taste of Arlington is free. To sample the foods, visitors can purchase ticket books in advance for $20 or $25 the day of the event. Each ticket books is equal to 8 tastes. Food is 1 taste ticket while alcoholic beverages will require 2.
Food isn't the only draw to this event. There will be live entertainment as well as fun activities for your children.
This year the event is held on Sunday, May 17th from noon to 5 PM. Given the area's recent weather forecasts please pack your umbrellas or ponchos just in case because this event is rain or shine.
