Marx Food Recipe Contest

What is your best comfort food dish?

At the moment I'm just barely resisting making a fried egg sandwich on my new favorite bread. Or maybe I'll have the last of that chicken soup with baby brunoise of turnip, water chestnuts, baby red carrots, parsnips, fennel...Maybe both, then some ice cream...but I digress.

If you have a favorite comfort food dish that you think kicks a**, get on the ball and enter it now for the chance at a $250 MarxFood Gift Certficate. That's right $250 to purchase luxurious gourmet foods, like fresh live oysters, delivered to your door, perhaps.

Or my door, better still.

Here's how:

  1. Contest runs from November 3- 17th. Winner will be selected by November 23.
  2. Not only do you get the gift certificate. You also get a set of biodegradable plates. How cool is that? Just in time for holiday entertaining.
  3. Must be an original recipe. For other contest rules (there aren't too many) go here.

The Marx family emigrated to the US in 1895. The family of butchers have been serving local families for all these years. By the 1970s the brothers diversified from meat producers and distributors to gourmet food purveyors. Supplying gourmet restaurants until 2007 when they opened the business to home cooks by mail.

Now, everything from fennel pollen, to bison, to wild mushrooms and foraged berries are available, Fedex to your door.

Try your hand at my Tuna Noodle Casserole recipe, here.
