Undoubtedly, Kanye West has become a household name because of his multiple existing titles as a producer, rapper, performer, and style icon. Presently, he's developing his way as a fashion designer. You can’t deny his love for high-end fashion as he’s been a guest for Fashion Week throughout the world, dropping brand names in his rhymes, and not to mention rocking high-end brands in his everyday wear. In his first debut as a designer, Kanye West’s premieres himself in the sneaker world and proves to be successful as he partners up with brands such as Nike and Louis Vuitton.

DSM, the weekend extra of Belgium’s newspaper De Standaard, currently runs an exclusive feature on Kanye West and Louis Vuiton. The feature is an insider look of the sneaker design process of Kanye West and Fabrizio Vitti, as they build on the Kanye West and Louis Vuitton sneaker collection.

The collaborative collection will be creating a breakthrough this June when they release its first sneaker the “Louis Vuitton Don”. Though Louis Vuitton currently includes shoes within their collections, the brand is mostly recognized for their iconic logos on accessories. However, because of the public appeal and pop culture icon status Kanye West holds, plus the success from his sneaker collaboration with Nike on the Air Yeezys, it is no doubt that the joint efforts with Louis Vuitton will be a popularized item and a future classic of the brand. The upcoming sneaker collection is also a step-up in streetwear culture as it escalates its recognition in the high-end fashion world.
