That’s right ladies and gentlemen, you have the opportunity to meet the queen herself. She will be debuting her new fragrance at Macy’s Almeda this Friday, November 13th.

The first 300 customer who purchase the “Queen” gift set will have an opportunity to meet Queen Latifah and receive a complimentary photograph with her. Unfortunately, there will be no autographs given, in all fairness it would probably give her a hand strain giving 300 autographs.
The press release describes the fragrance, “The fragrance Queen by Queen Latifah is a wonderful sensorial reflection of an amazing woman. It is inviting, surprising, bold, comfortable and luxurious. Her passion for life and self-assured sexiness, along with her limitless artistic talent and style are all embodied in her debut scent.”
As far as how the fragrance smells, “The top notes premiere with lightly sparkling citrus notes of Italian Bergamot and Mediterranean Mandarin wrapped in an intoxicating golden tequila inspired accord
The heart of this scent brings together two sides of a woman: femininity and sexiness. Fresh bouquets of Baie Rose and Jasmine Noir blend with the rich warmth of Cognac and the exotic spice Moroccan Coriander. This heart truly imparts love.
Base notes provide the soul of the scent with an unexpected but exciting combination of Indonesian Patchouli, Sandalwood and a touch of Vanilla Absolute. Tonka Absolute blends with Egyptian Incense and Sexy Musk to make the fragrance linger.”
Oh la la, sounds divine. The packaging is equally alluring, a sleek bottle in vibrant red with gold trim. The bold color is a nice juxtaposition to the simplicity of the bottle design. It's a cool nod to classic Chanel or Elizabeth Arden style.
The event begins at 3:00 p.m. so if you want be one of those lucky 300- plan to be there a little or a lot early. Also start coughing and sniffling now, so when you call in sick on Friday it sounds more believable.
