The Washington Business Journal is reporting that Crystal City has a theater space, but no theater company to put in it.

Arena Stage has made Crystal City one of its homes while their SE home is being remodeled, and the area has seen a boost to the local economy.  According to the article, area restaurants have seen enjoyed a bump since the thespians moved in.  An earlier article in the paper showed that theatre in Arlington brings in about $4 million dollars annually.

But, Arena is moving back home next year, so the Crystal City Business Improvement District is reaching out  to companies looking to take over the 460-seat performance venue located at 1800 South Bell Street.

So if you've got a theatre company but need a home, get your bid in by December 15!

With Washington Shakespeare Company set to take over the old Newseum space in Crystal City, the area is fast becoming a new theatre district.
