15 different styles of baby floats were recalled.

Aqua-Leisure Industries in conjunction with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled approximately 4 million inflatable baby floats due to a drowning hazard. The leg straps in the seat of the float can tear, causing children to unexpectedly fall into the water. There have been 31 reports of float seats tearing causing children to fall into the water, though no injuries have been reported.

The recalled baby floats were sold in a variety of styles and colors. A date between 08/02 and 07/08 is molded on the valves of the recalled products. Products with the lettering "NP" molded on the valve are not included in the recall. They were sold nationwide at Target, Toys "R" Us, Wal-Mart, Kmart, Dollar General, Walgreens, Ace Hardware, and Bed, Bath, & Beyond from December 2002 through June 2009.

Consumers should immediately stop using the floats and contact Aqua-Leisure at www.aqualeisure.com or call (866) 807-3998 for a full refund.
