It’s clearly summer in Los Angeles when one is sweating on the 405 at 8:30 in the morning. The thick hot air of such heat waves can be draining.Pinkberry and Frappuccinos may seem tempting on these hot summer days, although the crash after such temporary refreshments is brutal.  The excess sugar and lack of nutrients doesn’t support sustained energy. However, there are a variety of healthier options to cooling down and fueling up in the heat of the summer.

A variety of unique homemade smoothies are a superb way to chill out. An ultra refreshing White Honeydew and Ginger Cooler may be exactly the remedy to stay cool. A Blueberry Green Tea Smoothie is a great way to put some pep in the step. Consider, a Creamy Avocado and Yogurt Shake or a Carrot Spice Smoothie.
