The Central District Health Department (CDHD) will vaccinate students for H1N1 in the Mountain Home and Kuna school districts this week. Vaccinations are free and optional. Students will receive the nasal mist version of the vaccine, unless there is a medical reason that prevents them from doing so.
Consent forms will be provided by each school district, or you may download one from the CDHD web site by clicking here.

Vaccinations are subject to change due to availability. All vaccination dates are either Tuesdays or Thursdays. The current schedule for school immunizations is as follows:

Mountain Home

  • Nov. 10 AM: East Elementary School
  • Nov. 10 PM: West Elementary School
  • Nov. 12 AM: Mountain Home AFB Primary
  • Nov. 12 PM: North Elementary
  • Nov. 17: Mountain Home Junior High
  • Nov. 19: Hacker Middle School
  • Nov. 24: Mountain Home Senior High

Kuna

  • Nov. 12: Reed Elementary
  • Nov. 12: Indian Creek Elementary
  • Nov. 17: Kuna High
  • Nov. 19: Kuna Middle School
  • Nov. 24: Hubbard Elementary
  • Nov. 24: Teed Elementary
  • Dec. 1: Crimson Point Elementary
  • Dec. 1: Ross Elementary

Families of enrolled students who have younger siblings not yet in school are encouraged to bring their children to their older child’s school on the day of the vaccination clinics. Likewise, families who are homeschooled are encouraged to attend vaccination clinics at their local school.

The CDHD Flu Hotline is (208) 321-2222. You can also visit the CDHD’s web site for up to date information.
