You are at a holiday party, standing before the dessert buffet. So many choices! But your eyes are glued to just one thing: cheesecake. Yum.
There’s nothing as rich and satisfying as a slice of cheesecake, so it’s not so surprising that cheesecake packs a huge amount of calories per bite. Run more than four miles today if you plan to tuck in to that slice of cheesecake, because you’ll be taking in about 412 calories.
The caloric truth is from FitDay.
If you are totally into cheesecake and want a great recipe for a cake with a twist, try cinnamon cheesecake with a gingersnap crust, a favorite of the Detroit Cooking Examiner, Courtney Monigold.
(Note: my calculations figure about 100 calories per mile burned for a 150-pound person. If you want a more exact number, use the calorie burner tool below. Keep running, friends. It’s a great way to stay on top of all this holiday eating!)
