Jon and Kate Plus 8: 100th episode Emeril cooks dinner

For the 100th episode of "Jon & Kate Plus 8" on TLC, Food network’s top chef Emeril Lagasse joined Jon and Kate Gosselin and the eight kids to cook dinner for the family.
 

Jon and Kate did not appear together for their interviews in the infamous oversized chair.

Emeril showed the family how to make chili mac, green bean casserole and granola. He was very hands on with all of the kids showing them how to snap the green beans and helping the little ones who couldn't quite figure it out. 

Although Jon and Kate were interviewed separately, they seemed to share in a friendly teasing during the show.

Jon was helping with food prep (he peeled garlic for most of the show) and Kate joked about needing to show him where the stove was located when Emeril gave him the job of toasting the granola and nuts.

Jon stated, “he was an expert re-heater.”

"This is the most I've seen him in the kitchen in my life," Kate stated about Jon.

Jon seemed to enjoy seeing Emeril in Kate's “territory.” "He took control and he was kind of funny. He like pushed her out of the way and did his thing," Jon said.

When Kate tried to correct Jon on how he was pouring the granola onto a cookie sheet, Emeril stated, "Leave him alone." Emeril then received a slap from Kate's rubber spatula for that comment.

In the end a large dinner was prepared with help from the whole family and Emeril enjoyed diner with the Gosselin’s for their 100th episode, completed with homemade organic brownies courtesy of Maddy and Carra.
